When one is performing the Ifugao healing rite (Madulugan), it starts outside the house where the singing commence after the beating of the gongs for 3 to five minutes. [starttext]

The Alim Invocation is done to call on the deities or the spirits of those who have started the Alim such Cabbigat and Bugan in Kiyyangan, among others. It also recognizes and calls the spirits from Tinec and Tinglayen. But this is not advisable to play over and over again since you are simply calling the spirits on their abode..... and that's harmful if no rite done afterwards.
